Cross Roads' Approach

  • Equine Assisted Therapy

At the Ranch, we provide an environment where today's youth will develop the skills to properly evaluate the choices at their life's cross roads, the knowledge to understand how those choices will impact their life, and the wisdom to choose the right path.

Our programs are designed to empower our youth to make the right choices as it relates to the body, their mind, emotions and their spirit.

  • EAGALA

The model, EAGALA, is used within our equine culture to teach today's youth responsibility and core values in all areas of their life. Horse experience is not necessary and there is no riding in our program. All activities take place with your feet firmly planted on the ground.

The EAGALA model, EAP, has effectively been employed in the treatment of numerous behavioral and emotional disorders that are traditionally resistant to intervention and talk therapy.

  • Lead, Teach and Direct

As we lead, teach and direct, we point the youth to the perfect life of Jesus Christ, the lover of their eternal souls. As we play, groom, and ride, we point them to the lifestyle that lives to please the one who loves them more than ever could be imagined. As we sing, read, and pray, we point them to the intimate Savior, who longs for fellowship with His most prized creation.

  • Talent, Skills and Vision

Yes, we at Cross Roads Youth Ranch have individual talents, skills, missions, visions, and personalities, but we all come together with one main purpose in mind, and that is to share the love of God and the free gift of eternal life that God has chosen to give everyone who will receive.

  • Join Something Bigger

Perhaps this stirs your heart, and your soul cries, " I want to be a part of something bigger than I am! Something that may affect someone's destiny." This is your opportunity to make a difference in a boy or a girl.

Our Mission

Cross Roads Girl's Group Home

Cross Roads Youth Ranch will be opening two girl's Group Homes in the Spartanburg area within the next couple of months, with Beth taking on the Executive Director position. Time and time again, the Director's of the local group homes that come to the ranch, cannot say enough about how the CRYR team loves, encourages, engages and nurtures "their" kids. Some of the Group Home youths are frequent visitors to the ranch. Click here to read a few testimonials and receive additional information.
